They do this because it is their protocol on customer complaints and they have to respond in a manner that satisfies the customer. When in reality, they are just taking your complaints and who knows where they go from there. Just because they listen to your complaints over the telephone or if you report an ebay item. Does not mean it will truly be handled or investigated.

You know who should really be sued? toad224, blue-sea-11, and ash-tronics. People are angry/ upset because of them stealing a majority of the high valued coupons for many, many weeks but Old Navy and Ebay takes no action against them even when a lot of people have complained.

This entire comment section is full of poo. There’s a ton of defamation (libel including impersonation), death threats, harassment, and violations of privacy tort laws. Guess what? You are not anonymous and this entire section is a huge lawsuit waiting to happen. According to a recent case, illegal/defamatory comments you post here aren’t anonymous.

As far as your messages are concerned, no, I will not reveal your name for obvious reasons, but I can tell you that you insisted on “you and your husband coming over and doing something extra for me” if you could get in on my scheme, and, as before, I respectfully decline.
Guys, this is not Toad224 leaving the comments. I have talked to Toad224. He is very mature. The only way I will believe you are Toad224 is if you tell me my username for Ebay. I messaged you 2 days ago so and you replied back twice so you should have my username in profile.
Quite honestly, I’m getting tired of how easy it has become to manipulate the Old Navy site and gain a slight (it is only slight) advantage to getting the big money coupons. This week I will play a little more fair by disclosing a simple trick. Mind you, this only works in IE (that’s short for Microsoft’s Internet Explorer for those of you from SlickDeals).
When Old Navy starts the new counter, hit ALT-F4 and it will often times redirect you to the new site before it has actually “gone live.” The coupons will not be accessible at this point, but you will see the “hot-spots,” as we like to call them.
Those trying to gain an unfair advantage will assure you that ALT-F4 will reboot your computer, and they are right, under normal circumstances that is the function. However, when using an user-interactive generated coupon site, the functions are slightly
“rewired,” if you will. Just make sure your active in the right program (i.e. click on the right window LOL)
There. I have a few other tricks, so I don’t anticipate this will affect much. But, maybe it will curtail some of the death threats.

All 3 of us went to Old Navy yesterday to check out the item of the week. Toad wanted to get in on the $1 sock sale. He needs them cheap because he has 4 legs to cover! Blue-sea tried out the girls knit cardigans that were on sale. The employees didn’t appreciate him taking all of the women’s clothing into the men’s dressing room. The cargo pants were sold out in my size. Disappointing. Oh man-nequin.
I can’t believe SD’ers are trying to insult us. They are not very nice people. I can’t believe this board contains so many personal attacks. Is this what Old Navy is about?

In Canada they are charging $25 for the IOTW. My Husband questioned them about it because he received a text which said $15. He showed the text to the manager and they were able to honour the $15 price advertised in the text. He loves them and they look great.

Wow! I’m so glad to see that more and more information is being revealed on toad224. However, I do agree with some of the previous replies. The promo will end before he is caught, I just have this feeling. I don’t mean to ruin the fun for others, but I feel if Old Navy continues this promo. He will take more and more coupons and upset more and more people. I’ve been fortunate enough to win a total of 2 – $50 dollar coupons on two different occasions since the promo started. I’m very grateful for that. However, it is not fair that people like toad224, to illegally hoard the coupons when there are so many that would just love the opportunity to win just one. I think the next Old Navy decides to run a promo like this. They should do it in store. Do something along the lines of what JCPenney stores did. Put coupons inside wrapped little chocolate bars and give them out to each customer as they walk into the store. If they would make it an in-store promo rather than online. People like toad224 would no longer be able to cheat with his gaming expertise and the big money saving coupons will be stopped. Or to alleviate this whole situation. Old Navy could contact Ebay and have their coupons restricted from their site. That would be an end result of “Case closed! Bye, Bye Toad224″.

Toad is not working alone. He is working with others like PWRBRKR on the Slickdeals forums to get more coupons. It’s like an underground network of scam artists and ticket scalpers. They do occasionally reveal the fact that they use gmail and various scripts to pull off their antics. As long as they are allowed to do this to Old Navy Weekly, very few people stand a chance to get a decent coupon. Old Navy may as well discontinue the coupons because they obviously don’t know how to limit coupons per IP address. And to those of you that have purchased a coupon from anyone on Ebay, thanks a lot because you are supporting this crap! Please Old Navy, take down the Old Navy Weekly website. Nobody can even get a coupon there anyway except the Ebayers!

I’m not convinced that Toad224 is quite that young. He opened his Ebay account in 2001 which would have made him about 11 years old at the time. Not impossible, but not probable.
Toad224′s ebay account was open in 2001, with minor activity until 2005. Between Aug – November of 2005, Toad224 sold Itunes codes, estimation of 125 transactions based on feedback. These codes may have contained 50 songs each. Possible contest hacking.
Minor activitiy until in 2005, when from April 25th – August 23rd Toad224 sold approx. 866 Old Navy coupons on Ebay. This estimation is based on many feedback entries which mention the coupons, and it doesn’t appear he/she is selling anything else in this time frame. Keep in mind that not everyone leaves feedback, so more may have been sold. Profit estimation or $25 (per coupon) x 880 (coupons sold) = $22,000

I’m trying to tell you all that Toad224 is a cheating computer hacker. He cheats at game sites and has aquired enough knowledge to cheat ON to get coupons! He uses computer programs to outwit old navy weekly. His programs are automated, in that he and his team actually don’t play oldnavyweekly. They just run their programs (javascripts) on oldnavyweekly.com and his programs go get the coupons for them. He uses “chat” programs to communicate with his team members and direct them much like a manager of a company. His team members have their own facebook accounts that the programs gift the coupons to. Then all coupons are funneled to Toad’s gmail account, [email protected]. Every time a coupon is claimed from oldnavyweekly.com with the programs, the oldnavyweekly coupon counters actually think they legitimately clicked on the coupon and claimed it. That’s why almost all of the coupons go to these guys. They work so darn fast. I’ve been a member of slickdeals for a while, and have run into these guys from time to time. They often brag about how many coupons they got.

The people that are working with toad224 are ash-tronics and blue-sea-11(aka relationshipbuilder). All three of them have been stealing and selling hundreds of high-valued coupons for many weeks, more than anyone can normally get.
If I were Old Navy, I would press criminal charges against them, sue them, and make them pay back all the money they’ve made from stealing and selling their coupons. They need to be punished or they will never learn.

Just curious, how do you know this? I suppose he told you that. Well, he told me that he is located in beijing and had people working for him. According to his ebay account and ebay I.D. history, he’s located in New York. If he was from Beijing. It would say in his ebay I.D. History location “Beijing” and not United States. Hmmm. I am so mad again this week all the 75 off coupons were once again on Ebay sold by TOAD224 as usual I reported him on ebay but they dont care they still havent pulled his listings! I found another person on Ebay selling the $75 off Coupons the name is blue-sea-11 so far they have sold 25 of the coupons! Its a joke its not fare for people that are just trying to get one coupon! I also called Old Navy today and gave them Toad224 Ebay name and they said they would investigate and that there are criminal charges for him selling so many when it clearly says on coupon not to be resold. I just hope this isnt the same next week Good Luck Everyone! And I hope Toad224 gets in trouble!
I should get my fellow hackers together and take Toad224 down once and for all. I have a lead on his IP and we’re shadowing him. Next time there is an ON drop, we should take him out of the game.
Toad224 is using a swf flash catcher and decompiler to instantly grab the site and view its contents and where all the goodies are and what links to them. This can be done in under 10 seconds. He is CHEATING. He’s no reputable hacker or anything. I was able to do the same thing as him after I studied how he did it, but I would never take these coupons from anyone. Every good hacker knows what is acceptable practice. What his is doing is unethical. Families NEED these coupons. Real hackers don’t screw with moms with kids. Toad is a greedy idiot.
I am fed up with Toad224 taking half the coupons from the Old Navy Site and reselling them. This is illegal and it clearly states on the coupon that the are “not transferable and not valid for resale”. He has been doing it for weeks and has made too much money doing it. I have emailed Ebay letting them know this is final warning to them and if they do not do anything about it, a bunch of us will be contacting local television stations. I am located in New York and will be contacted Fox 5 by tonight. I hope people stop buying his coupons because action can be taken against them as well. I hope others will take same measures.

Same with me, Amanda. All I got was the “Loading” icon after the maintenance site went up. I had it open both in Firefox AND IE just in case. Curiously enough, I checked eBay and toad224 already had $75/$100′s to sell while the site wasn’t loading anywhere else. Hacker?
I was up all night trying to get my page to reload. I actually saw it when the maintenance site was up around 9 pm last night. However, when the site reloaded it was still the one from 8/14 to 8/20. I am not sure what issues you have with firefox, but that is not fair I missed out on all the deals because firefox was not compatible with what you were running.

To clear your cache, all you have to do is go under Tools, Options, Privacy, and Clear individual cookies. Clear all the ones from old navy websites. I did that last week and the ONW worked after that.
Morgan, the website did change last week – 2 of the photos are different (item of the week and top right photo). For many of us the website did not update until well after the large value coupons were gone.

Rebecca, it wasn’t your cache, the site was the same for everyone last week. They keep the same site and just changed the values of the coupons in some of the locatioins. They’ve done this several times during this promotion.
